DONGYING Engineering preparation guide Suzhou Dongying Electronic Technology Co., Ltd. suzhoudongying@gmail.com 1. Prepare drawings for a useful review. Drawing revision, critical features, material and quantity belong in the same brief. Keep the files aligned Share the available 2D drawing and 3D model, with their revision identifiers. Identify which document controls a dimension when the files differ. Mark what matters Identify mating features, datums, critical dimensions and cosmetic surfaces. Include the assembly context needed to understand the part. Describe the program Separate sample quantity from anticipated production demand. Describe material requirements, operating conditions and the target schedule as review inputs. 2. Define the tooling and supply scope. Make the responsibilities clear before a tooling project starts. Tooling, components or both State whether the request covers tooling, molded components or both. Identify design responsibility, intended mold use and the delivery location. Machine and interface requirements For a mold intended for another production site, provide available machine specifications and interface requirements. Review them together with the part and mold design. Agree acceptance and deliverables Define the sample review, inspection records, mold documentation and any related responsibilities in the project agreement. Packing, transport and maintenance arrangements also need a clear owner. 3. Review the insert and the molded part together. Insert drawings, positioning and acceptance requirements shape the discussion. Describe each input Provide the plastic part definition and the insert drawing, including the specified insert material and surface condition. Identify who supplies the insert. Define interfaces Show insert positions, locating features and the interfaces used by the final assembly. Explain any retention, sealing or electrical requirements that need evaluation. Plan the checks Agree how position, appearance and functional requirements will be checked. Metal processing, plating and assembly are separate responsibilities to confirm in the supply scope. 4. Connect the drawing to the approval plan. Define the features, methods and records needed for a meaningful sample review. Name the characteristics Identify the dimensions and functional characteristics that need verification. Share relevant mating parts, reference samples or application conditions when available. Agree the method Discuss the measurement method, datum setup, sample quantity and acceptance criteria. A photograph or an equipment list alone does not define the inspection result. Keep revisions connected Keep the drawing revision, sample identification and inspection record connected. If a requirement changes, review its effect before accepting the next sample.
